Annville UMC History:
There had never been a United Methodist
Church in Jackson County, KY, although it
was generally understood that there were
a couple of old Methodist Churches in the
county many years ago. For some time
many folks had dreamed of starting a UM congregation and in the fall of 1992, began the reality.
On January 10, 1993, the congregation of what is now the Annville UMC gathered for its first worship service in the old Lakes Funeral Home Chapel, next to the post office.
In the Spring 1994 with 17 charter members, Annville UMC charted taking place among the other 25 churches within the Red Bird Missionary Conference.
