Camp O' Cumberlands includes programs for all ages and include: Summer outdoor Christian Education for children and youth, Jonah Journey Mission Encounters, Youth Mission Encounters, Specialty Camps, small group retreats (i.e., confirmation classes, Wesley Foundations, UMW, UMM), Emmaus, VIM/Workteams, and local area church/family events.
Specialty Camps include: Camp Lighthouse (for persons battling or survivors of cancer), DeafCamp (for deaf and hard-of-hearing children), and Music Camp (for children interested in music and drama).
The camping ministry gives us an avenue to reach young persons in the mountains, many of whom are not part of a regular Christian Education experience and from low-income families. Additional funds to support the general budget make it possible for Red Bird Missionary Conference to have a camping ministry. Please contact us for more information on how you can be involved in this growing ministry.
