Laity Happenings |
The Laity were gathered together for our SPARK event. It was a great time of fellowship and learning. Participants came from nine of
our conference churches and learned about their Spiritual gifts. All were challenged to bring their gifts home with them and begin their
own ministry of one person, one mission, one kingdom.
We followed up with a Lay Leaders training in May in which we had around 12 individuals participate and become Conference Lay Leaders.
In June we held an event known as SEEK. It was a great time for individuals to SEEK out how they can use their gifts. There was a lot
of great discussion and ideas generated. We also had a great time learning about the history of John Wesley and his calling.
There will be another training offered in the early fall for those interested in developing themselves as leaders within the Red Bird
Missionary Conference. Stay tuned for details.
