Rev. Charles Parks
Pastor

Charles Parks is a pastor at Phillips Fork Outreach center, locally known as Kelley Rock. He is an Appalachian Local Pastors School attendee. Charles and his wife Betty have three sons, Dwayne and Scott Smith and Timothy Parks.

Charles Parks started going to the Mill Creek, Bear Creek, and Kelly Rock at Phillips Fork. He was the lay leader and would fill in whenever the pastor was absent. The local pastor was very ill and was frequently in the hospital. Charles continued to fill in for him until eventually the pastor passed away. After this loss, the Red Bird Missionary Conference asked Charles to stay on and become the pastor at Phillips Fork Outreach Center.

Charles feels that his biggest struggle is funerals. He always willingly does them, but he says that is really hard for him. He feels passionate about the work that he is doing here because the Red Bird Conference staff are always nice and friendly. He feels that he has a lot of freedom while working for the Lord. He has really enjoyed his time here and continues to be a blessing to the Kelley Rock Church at Phillips Fork.
