Pastor
Kevin is a native of Lexington, Kentucky. He was born into a family deeply rooted in Methodism. And, his grandfather preached throughout Eastern Kentucky. Kevin proudly served in the United States Army and after was employed in the private sector as a Manager then as a Rehab Specialist. He is passionate about his calling to serve the Lord full time. He graduated from the United Methodist Course of Study at Chandler School of Theology, Emory University after having attended The University of Kentucky.

Kevin has been a pastor since 1993. He has served at Mt. Gilead, Mt. Hope and Georgetown First United Methodist and Glendale United Methodist Church, all within the Kentucky Conference. During this period Kevin was active within the conference as a Coach in Natural Church Development; Hardin Memorial Hospital Chaplain and has traveled to Israel several times with groups.

Kevin is serving in the Redbird Missionary Conference as the Pastor of Hope United Methodist and is the Staff Chaplain for the Henderson Settlement both are located in Frakes, KY.

Kevin is best known for being a man with of few needs; he is humble and has a great gift for making others feel comfortable. He has burning passion to tell people about Christ.

In 2009 Kevin lost his wife of 29 years to cancer. He has two children; a son Casey, daughter Kayle her husband Doug and one Granddaughter Anna. Kevin is now engaged to marry Cindy Hensley Freed, from Benham, Kentucky in December of this year. Cindy has one son Aaron. They feel blessed that the Lord has made this relationship for them. Together they enjoy fishing, building dulcimers, travel and talking about Jesus.

Kevin believes that all things are possible through Christ and loving God and others is the only way to live. "Jesus has been and shall always be my hope and stay in this life and the life to come."
