Colleen came to the school in 1978 and when she graduated from the High School she landed a job at the Red Bird Hospital as a Nursing Assistant. She did other jobs within the Red Bird Missionary Conference until 1999. In Sept. 1999 she began work as an Office Assistant here in the Red Bird Missionary Conference. She has been given many opportunities to grown in her work. She is now the Administrative Assistant and Visitor Coordinator.

Colleen grew up in a home with 6 other brothers and sisters. Her Mom sent all of them to high school here at the Red Bird Mission school, except for one brother who is disabled. She began work three months after she finished high school and God has kept the door open for her to keep serving here. She works at a desk and sometimes struggles with the thought of "What am I doing to make a different?" She doesn't always feel like she is doing much ministering. However, people around here find her to be a trusted confidant, a great friend and full of the genuine love of Christ. She's very humble, but radiates with the love of Jesus in everything she does. Colleen states that "I am thankful for the opportunity to be able to give back to the place that was and still is a source of help to me." She has many memorable moments. But the one that keeps coming around is "the LOVE I feel from the friends I have made within the Red Bird Missionary Conference. They are always ready to reach out to you in time of need and Joy." She loves the Red Bird Missionary Conference because she has been given many opportunities to grow and better myself.
